Copyright Infringement Case: Situation

For everyone interested in the situation: Someone decided to not only plagiarize my work as their own, but also ask for money and gain profit from, what I consider, a non-profit project that I created. I have not made a single penny from the Silver to Eagle Guide, and I don’t want to make any money, that was never the idea behind the guide. It has all been from my motivation to make this community a better place and also help people enjoy the game at a higher level.

VALVe has been gracious enough to give me the right to dispute my work with a DMCA Copyright Infringement case that they will review. This person, who’s identity I will not release due to the possibility of uncontrolled actions from some of my followers, will not take advantage of me nor my hard work. I hope this serves as an example: I don’t mind sharing the work, anyone can share it with my permission, but you will not gain any money from it nor take advantage of me. I don’t care if you’re 6 years old, or 56 years old, the rules are clear, and if you mess with the bull, you will get the horns.

Hopefully the person will cooperate and take down what he plagiarized, and hopefully he will also learn a valuable lesson. I will not be suing or pressing charges if he cooperates succesfully, I only want him to stop scamming people and also retain the identity of the Silver to Eagle guide. Hope that will clear up some questions that have aroused from the previous events. I will keep you guys up to date with the situation.
