Hello guys! Hope you are all having an awesome 2017 so far!
A lot has happened in the last couple of days and I just wanted to express some of the things I have planned and have already been completed:
- I GOT A JOB! – I ended up getting a job at a local restaurant as a cashier/cook and work around 10 hours a day (double-shift) for 4 days every week. This is the main reason why you guys have seen me offline more than usual. 🙂 However, stay assured that the revenue gained from this will go to my family as well as the AddictedPro brand. 😀 I currently don’t have a schedule yet, but once I do, I will use it to organize my streaming times, etc.
- Streaming Schedule – I am not a big fan of improving one aspect of my life and totally forgetting another. Therefore, once I have my work schedule set, I will resume streaming. I have tried to stream earlier this week, but a lot of expenses arose, as well as emergency “I need for you to replace someone’s shift” manager calls. I want to stream at least once a day every week.
- YouTube Schedule – “Well AP, if you only stream once a week, what else are you going to do on your 2 days off?” Good question. I have been seriously thinking about recording myself offline and uploading daily 30-min gameplay episodes of many games. I have only touched like 1/3 of my entire collection of PC games (and this doesn’t include the hundreds of games in my physical game collection) so I think I would be knocking several birds with one stone by playing them by myself (or with my sister) and uploading them to YouTube for you guys to watch. I personally love this format and am a big fan of several YouTube channels that do this. So we’ll see. 🙂
- New Guide – As a big fan of Rainbow Six Siege, I have also been thinking about making a guide and filling a niche in the amazing community the game has. I would also not like a simple re-skin of the Silver to Eagle Guide. So, I will hope to make this guide better, funner, and more engaging for the reader. This is a long-term goal however, and it is also just a rough idea. 🙂
- Money Changes People – I totally agree, but hopefully I will use this new source of revenue to improve my content. I have plans on buying WordPress Premium and improving the site, my setup, and use some of the money to buy more games for me to play on-stream and off-stream for YouTube. I also want to make a little more money from YouTube and Twitch, although not for myself. I would like to make YouTube and Twitch self-sustaining instead of having to dig in from my personal working funds that I use for emergencies as well as bills, rent, etc. I also learned my lesson from trying to hard to make revenue by making you guys pay for stuff. So from now on, most of the income sources would come from simple, non-obstructing mediums like: Ads on the blank sides of the website where they don’t mess with the layout or the viewing experience, maybe some ads at the end of the videos that I will upload (not a fan of mid-video or start-video ads as well as those “pop-up from the bottom” ads). My goal is to make some small amounts of money without having to change my format or having to go out of my way to make it. It should come natural and without force. 😀
- “NO NAVY DEN?” – Nope. I only got a job for a couple of months to get some money in the meantime while I finish the process for the Navy. My ultimate goal is still the Military, as well as finishing my education. However, this handling of job and hobbies should help me when I have my future career in the military. 🙂
Working double-shifts where I stand all day, then streaming for hours, then recording myself play games for more hours, then studying and working out for the military, as well as finishing my education will seem like a lot for some of you. However, I have big dreams and I am relentless when it comes to following them. I will organize myself and adapt properly in order to complete them.
I hope you guys will be as excited as I am when it comes to reading this update post. We are going to have a lot of fun in 2017. I cannot wait, in fact, I won’t wait. 🙂
