I woke up yesterday morning to many people upset that a user by the name of SlothSquadron had been doing the same thing I have been doing with the PROMOD, but that instead, he was getting too much praise for his actions that I had already done. So I decided to look into it.
3kliksphilip made a very appropriate video that explained to me what Sloth was trying to achieve and what he has created. So, opposite from popular belief of myself being upset that he is getting better community support, I decided to join him.
So, I sent him an email, and I also uploaded all of my research as well as many answers and methods I had been achieved in order to help him out.
Why? Because we are both part of this community and we are both trying to improve it. This is not a competition. If Sloth was able to achieve all of this great work, and I was able to also help the community with the Silver To Eagle Guide and the PROMOD, then imagine what we could achieve if we worked together and combined our minds.
So, I am proud to announce that I am helping SlothSquadron with his Weapon Balance Mod. Note that this is not a merge of both mods. The Weapon Balance Mod is his mod which he directs; The PROMOD is my mod and something I direct. But, since we are basically doing the same thing, we are exchanging ideas and research to help each other out in the VERY complicated process that is modding the game.
Now that I got that out of the way, I wanted to also announce that I am still working on the PROMOD. Slowly, but I am still working on it. I have goals set to improve the maps and provide _SE versions as well as improving the game apart from weapons like the ones Weapon Balance Mod prioritizes. I will also be trying to stream and play with viewers on servers with the Weapon Balance Mod on my Twitch. So stay tuned for that. I believe that Sloth and I will help each other and improve this community like no other. Our goals are the same, and we believe we can improve this beautiful game.
